Bringing Faith Home - Helping
Our Children to Pray in Color
Prayer can be a daunting task. How do I
talk to God, what do I say, does God listen to me? These
are all good questions. Perhaps you have taught your
child(ren) the Lord’s Prayer, a bedtime prayer and a
grace or two. You feel that prayer is important and
you’d like to help your kids with prayer, but you’renot
sure how to “do it” or get them beyond praying for a new
Wee system or Ugg boots. In this brief tool box session
we will explore a method of prayer called “praying in
color” developed by author Sybil Macbeth. We’ll do some
“color praying” ourselves and you learn some ways to
take this creative method of prayer home to your kids.
The best part of this workshop is that absolutely no
artistic talent is required. If you can pick up a
crayon, marker or colored pencil and put it to paper,
this brief toolbox session is for you!
