Local Mission Involvements

Activities

PRISM

  • People Responding in Social Ministry (PRISM) is a social service agency that annually helps 5,000 + people living in the local community. PRISM provides a food shelf, clothing, financial assistance, transportation and resources. In addition, they offer the support to help people transform their lives with dignity and accountability.
  • Valley contributes to the PRISM food shelf weekly. Valley designates that the first Sunday of each month is “Food Shelf Sunday”.
  • Valley donates toys and gifts and hosts PRISM’s annual Christmas gift distribution day. Valley also contributes a significant portion of the annual mission and outreach budget to PRISM.
  • Valley members donate used books which are used in the PRISM library for distribution to the clients. The remainder is purchased by an organization which pays cash to PRISM.
