Mission Activities
Summer mission trips are an important part of Valley’s history. For over 25 years we’ve been traveling in an old school bus to different locations throughout the United States to paint, repair homes, and work for the elderly and poor.
Our yearly trips are a culmination of a year spent working, laughing, and learning with one another. We earn money for our trips by selling Christmas trees and flowers, cooking meals, and sponsoring an annual golf tournament.
In Summer of 2008, both the junior and senior high youth groups will have an opportunity to travel on mission. Junior high participants are those graduating from grades 6-8. Senior high participants are those graduating from grades 9-12. Junior highers will have an opportunity to vote on where to go in early November. Senior highers have already chosen their mission destination. This year we will visit the old port city of Savannah, Georgia. The dates for the senior high mission trip are July 10-20.
