My gifts are particularly suited to developing strong communities. I am a visionary who can plan for the future. I am passionate about helping people discover their authentic selves and develop their gifts. I care deeply about creating healthy social structures which support and nurture people.

I love that the Valley Community values their heritage without letting it obstruct the future. It is an open inquisitive adventurous place to serve.

I’m optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. I enjoy people. I’m enthusiastic about life and love. When I'm not working, I enjoy remodeling my 1950s rambler and visiting the family cabin. I also love to bake. I live in Golden Valley with my husband, Tom, and my two children, Robert and Kate. We have two dogs, Emmett and Nube.

I earned a B.A. in Computational Economics from Augsburg College in 1997 and my Masters of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary, St. Paul in 2015.

I have been with Valley since July 2007. Prior to coming to Valley I worked for Luther Seminary Network Services as a consultant, First Presbyterian Church in Shakopee as a Youth Director and CSC Consulting as a Staff Consultant.

We are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) denomination.

We were officially organized on May 20, 1951 when Golden Valley and the surrounding suburbs were first growing in the post-war building boom.

The original chapel, now the Cornerstone Room, was built in 1952.

The Fellowship Hall was added in 1957.

The current sanctuary was added in 1965.

The Education wing was added in 1988.

The current sanctuary was built with space for an organ which took over 40 years to arrive. Read more about the history of our organ.

Valley Church currently has almost 500 members.

Our neighborhood in Golden Valley is experiencing a resurgence of young families.
