Rebekah Rierson, Nursery Attendant

I have been caring for the Valley children in the nursery since 2014.   Prior to this, I worked at Babies R Us, which gave me a chance to interact with all types of people.     I love people, and especially children, and I connect easily with them.  I particularly enjoy watching young children as they explore their world and grow.

I live at home with my parents, Dan and Cindy and oldest sister, Kathryn.  We have three little dogs named Dakota, Casper and Dusty.  I graduated from Roseville High School and am presently attending college to become a nurse.  I work as a lab assistant at my school, and I plan to work in neonatology upon graduation from nursing school.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing the piano and writing music.  I also love spending time outdoors, and I swim every chance I get.  My hidden talent is singing, but only in the shower!

We are part of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) denomination.

We were officially organized on May 20, 1951 when Golden Valley and the surrounding suburbs were first growing in the post-war building boom.

The original chapel, now the Cornerstone Room, was built in 1952.

The Fellowship Hall was added in 1957.

The current sanctuary was added in 1965.

The Education wing was added in 1988.

The current sanctuary was built with space for an organ which took over 40 years to arrive. Read more about the history of our organ.

Valley Church currently has almost 500 members.

Our neighborhood in Golden Valley is experiencing a resurgence of young families.
