Valley's Mission Possible Peace & Justice Team Present: Immigration Film Series

Immigration is a hot topic that raises many questions for people of faith. Christians are called to “welcome the stranger,” but what does that really mean in our modern society? The Mission Possible Team at Valley Community Presbyterian Church established a task force to help us examine these issues through a film and discussion series.

To kick off our learning, a lesson will be offered on Immigration during our Sunday morning Adult Education class on October 28, 2018. The movement of people to the U.S., whether as refugees, workers or family members, raises complicated questions of equity, practicality, ethics, and laws. We will seek to outline how the church and our society looks at immigration.

Join Rev. Bill Davnie for this timely and informative discussion.

This film and discussion series is sponsored by Valley Community Presbyterian Church’s Peace and Justice team.  Each event is free of charge, and a light snack will be available. Child care can be provided, so please let the church office know of children’s names and ages.
