The Lochan String Quartet along with clarinetist Chelsea Kimpton look forward to presenting the Brahms Clarinet Quintet.  Inspired late in life by clarinetist Richard Muhlfeld, Brahms wrote four final chamber works featuring the clarinet. Beautiful, tender and magical, the quintet exemplifies the very best of chamber music composition.

Also on the program will be Six Studies in English Folksong by Ralph Vaughan Williams: short, lyrical pieces which evoke the pastoral English countryside. Bassist Rolf Erdahl will join the group for the portion of the concert.
