Mission Possible
Called by God to be part of Christ's presence in our community
A Community of Care
Valley is a Matthew 25 congregation, called by God to be part of Christ’s presence in our community; using our hands and feet while working and walking alongside others to bring peace into our midst by doing justice.
Being part of mission in the Valley means being part of a community that not only cares & connects but takes action. When a member of this community sees a need that should be addressed, but it is too big for any individual, they know there is Valley. A community of care exists, formed by people who have decided that it will be known by what it does for others. This community is one that does not believe it does enough. What it asks is, "What's next?" Blessed and ready, Valley pays it forward.
While we focus on supporting effective safety net programs, we join our partners such as PRISM in the intention of “taking action today, tomorrow, and the next day, until the individually-funded safety net is no longer needed, and our systems ensure that all people have their basic needs met.”
