And yet most people raised in Minnesota know nothing of this long history.
Valley Community Presbyterian Church (VCPC) invites you to join Barry Hand, Owámniyomni Okhódayapi program director, for a 60-minute guided site visit of the Falls and the Upper Lock. Learn about Dakota lifeways, the significance of the River, and the Mní Sóta Dakota Tribes’ vision for cultural and environmental restoration. Tour is appropriate for all ages!
*If you are a member of a faith community, please note that in the “Public Comment” field. We want to know how many faith communities are coming alongside us in this learning opportunity!
Suggested donation of $10/adult and $5/child. You can bring cash or check with you the day of the tour. You can also pay online! Go to https://valleycommunitypresbyterianchurch.breezechms.com/give/online and choose “Give to Land Acknowledgement” from the dropdown menu.
