This week we welcome Natletha Sumo Kollie from Children’s Defense Fund. Natletha will share and explain Minnesota's Deep Poverty report. This class will also discuss the work that the Children’s Defense Fund and other advocacy organizations are doing to reduce poverty for families and children in Minnesota. The spring session of Gentle Yoga is underway at Valley! Samantha Schellhaas will continue to lead us in a Gentle Yoga class for adults on Thursday evenings through Thursday, May 30th. Please come to class on Thursday evenings and bring a friend! All skill-levels are welcome.

It's time for the annual fundraising gala supporting our community partner PRISM! Tickets are $125 per person, but please reach out to Valley staff if cost is a barrier. This year, Valley's own Pat Daily will be receiving the Light of PRISM Award and we want everyone who would like to attend to be there.

Fridays in the Valley welcomes the Ka Trio! Members: Karen Hansen, clarinet; Kaia Sand, oboe; Kate Saumur, bassoon. Fridays in the Valley concerts are free and open to all.
