Hate Has No Home Here Series | Thursday, July 11 | 5:00 - 6:30 PM
Hate Has No Home Here: Islamophobia In The United States Today | Speakers from the Islamic Resource Group will provide a presentation and discussion educating the public about Islam and the Muslim community. Part of the presentation will also explore the significant increase of Islamophobia in the United States and the direct impact it has specifically on local Muslim communities. RSVP via email to: rparadise@goldenvalleymn.gov | This is the second in a series of the City of Golden Valley’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission’s (DEIC) sessions to raise community awareness regarding bias and hate as expressed in the United States. Future sessions will cover other forms of hate and bias including, but not limited to, transphobia and the “othering” of various communities. James I. Rice Park Clean-up Day | Saturday, July 13 | 10:00 AM
Join other members of our community for an invasive species pull and park clean-up near Ȟaȟá Wakpadaŋ (Bassett Creek) at James I. Rice Park in Minneapolis (323 W River Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55401). This event will be a great way to care for our waterways. Helpers of all ages are welcome! | This event is organized in partnership with the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission and the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization.
Valley Summer All-Ages Happy Hour | Saturday, July 13 | 4:00 - 6:00 PM
A chance to get together with Valley friends this summer! | Live music begins at 7:30 pm if anyone wants to grab dinner and stay for the music! | Sign-up in Fellowship Hall or contact the Valley office! All ages welcome.

7:30 am - Bike Ride with 8, 30, and 50 mile options
Noon - Lunch available for purchase in the Dining Hall
2 pm - the Adventure-a-Thon begins!

4:30- 6 pm - Chad Elliott Live Music
6 pm - Free Pig Roast Dinner is served!
6:30-8 pm - John Hermanson Live Music

Annual Valley Night Out! | Sunday, August 4 | 5:30 - 8:30 PM
Dinner - 5:30pm -- Show - 7:00pm | We're grilling dinner and hosting a performance of Open Eye Theater's MOLLY AND THE MAGIC BOOT! | We have had so much fun the past two summers hosting Open Eye Theater artists and their puppet friends in the Valley parking lot. So Valley Night Out is back again! | Grab you friends, family, and neighbors! Come for a potluck dinner (we'll grill, you bring a side or dessert to share) and stay for the show. All are welcome!
