This lively presentation will discuss the under-appreciated impact our food system has on climate and the environment. To Banish Forever: A Secret Society and Ho-Chunk Removal in Minnesota | Thursday, Nov. 14 | 6:00 - 7:00 PM
Author Cathy Coats and radio host Robert Pilot (Ho-Chunk) will present a book reading and discussion about the often-excluded history of the Ho-Chunk Nation in Minnesota. Please join us at The Trailhead (1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway, Minneapolis, 55422) on Thursday, November 14 at 6:00pm. / Snacks from NATIFS will be served at 5:45pm. Bridging Dresser Build | Saturday, Nov. 16 | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Every year, a group of Valley volunteers get together to assemble about a dozen dressers for our partner organization Bridging. The dressers then go to folk who are transitioning out of homelessness. All skill levels are welcome! Sign up in the Fellowship Hall and reach out to Andrew Pitan with questions.
Valley Craft Club | Saturday, Nov. 16 | 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Spend the day crafting without distractions! Come catch up on a project, start something new or check out what others are working on for inspiration! There will be make and take crafts available. If crafting isn’t your thing, come for the fellowship or bring a book to catch up on your reading. / Bring a dish to share for lunch at 12 PM. / Sign up in the Fellowship Hall.

A Respectful Conversation about the 2024 Election | Wednesday. Nov. 20 | 6:00 - 8:30 PM
Valley is hosting a Respectful Conversation in collaboration with the Minnesota Council of Churches. The Respectful Conversations Project is a program of the Minnesota Council of Churches designed to strengthen civic life in Minnesota. Congregations throughout Minnesota, like Valley Community Presbyterian Church, have hosted conversations that explore issues through the lens of deeply held convictions while maintaining, even enhancing, relationships among those who disagree.
